About

BibleStudy.tools provides tools for studying the Bible. Read, search, take notes, write Bible studies, and (someday) write your own study Bible.

At the top of every page are links to the three main areas of this site: the "Bible" and "Study" areas store the Bibles and studies that you create using the tools from the "tools" area. Everything else is just support for these three areas. Each page under these areas has its own help for practical guidance as you use the site, but if you want some less practical general discussion of what's motivated the development of this site and what'll guide it down the road, read the rest of this page and explore the links under it.

As a literate Christian you have a mandate from your Lord Jesus Christ to read what he wrote and understand it in its context. Taking notes while you read and search is the beginning of getting this understanding. Reviewing your notes and forming them into coherent study texts is then the discipline that proves all things. Finally, distilling your studies back into the marginal notes and comments of a study Bible enables you to take this understanding everywhere you take your Bible.
